Potato Head Jazz Band’s first CD, and whose title describes the spirit that describes the group’s sound. A Spanish band made up of musicians from very diverse geographical and musical backgrounds come together out of love for the sounds of early jazz in the United States. It is inevitable that this diversity is reflected in his own style and in the improvisations of its soloists.
The disc features 10 classic tracks from the style, from super-danceable fun beats like “I’ve Found a New Baby” to his heartfelt take on “St James Infirmary” that’s a favorite of the audience at live shows.
A natural and unapologetic album, with a lot of “heat” and a amazing Swing, as already indicated by the “swingometer” on its cover.
Recorded live at the KBYO studios in Granada
